A CRUCIGRAMISTA | FEMINIZED AMERICA is a TV series created by Paula Parisot and Jessica Mitrani for ARTE1 (2019). The video series addresses themes related to creativity and feminisms in Latin America. Feminized America implies giving the continent a feminine character. The feminine is an attribute that has been devalued and associated with the weak, the subjugated, and the exploited. We chose the term feminized to value the feminine principle as a fundamental quality, emphasizing that recognizing and activating the feminine in each of us is the path to the survival of all individuals and of the planet. The 7 videos were structured around fundamental archetypes for the construction of the feminine: virgin, mother, muse, queen, visionary, weaver, and self.
