A CRUCIGRAMISTA | AMÉRICA INVERTIDA is a TV series created by Paula Parisot and Jessica Mitrani for ARTE1 (2017), dedicated in its first season to the art and culture of Latin America. The seven 7-minute episodes that make up this first season adopt an interdisciplinary approach, combining visual arts, literature, and cinema through the thought and work of historical and contemporary guiding figures, thus providing an intense and provocative panorama of the past and present of Latin American culture. With the contributions and evocation of artists such as Doris Salcedo and Frida Kahlo, filmmakers Alejandro Jodorowsky and Glauber Rocha, and curators and critics Carla Stellweg, Andrea Giunta, and Pablo León de la Barra, among many others, the series highlights key personalities in the affirmation of Latin American art and culture.
